Well, what can I say?

I absolutely love horror movies; I will watch some of the worst ones and ones that I already know I am scared of and hold one eye half open.
I will be honest, this is the first I have heard of and seen this movie – usually I will wiki movies before (I know I know it spoils it) but I did not for this, I want this review to be completely unbiased without the help of wiki or any other websites that popup when you search.
Patient Seven I chose to watch in the day; have to say the music at the beginning and slow walk through of what I believe to be where the story sets place was awesome. I love suspenseful music – I have found that is weas draws you into watching the movie – also helps there were some screams and what not…..but the slow tour to build up to start – love it!

Horror movies set around mental institutes are – I just love them! Call me weird, but perhaps due to the fact I know lots about the subject due to my parents’ jobs but I just find the fact that the facilities and illnesses are very much based on real life (which can be scary when dealing with high security people with mental illnesses – apologize if you don’t like this term) are the scariest.
I will be honest this is my first review and perhaps I babble but I don’t want to give too many spoilers but also want to ensure that my review will help you determine if this is a movie for you. The movie subject can often
be a touchy subject for many due to what we know from the past and how facilities are operated, I will do my best not to give away too much but provide a review that will help you determine if you want to watch of if this movie is a waste of your time.

Patient seven is what I would call a psychological thriller type horror movie – would absolutely put it in a thriller/horror category very much based around an institution that is perhaps not run the best – we can all speculate here – I believe the theme is to scare the patients of the facility into talking. The facility operates in a very old school way and the movie is very much centered around several patients who tell their stories, which are rather bizarre stories to say the least.
There is some language that may offend others so please be aware of that when watching.
On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this a 6 out of 10. I enjoyed it for the most part, some areas were a little weird and defiantly gave away it was a lower budget movie. If you like psychological thrillers, you will enjoy this. Keep in mind it is a lower budget movie, but overall, for lower budget it is one of the better ones I have seen.
